The soft cover, 192 page coffee table book includes 95 black and white photographs of beautiful children with Down syndrome by nationally recognized photographer Kendra Dew along with 52 inspirational stories--told by families of children and adults with Down syndrome. Each of the nine chapters includes research on the benefits of art, friendship, community engagement and other aspects of a full and rich life.

Co-author Cynthia Hutchison (Kidder) is the mother of a child with Down syndrome and the founder Band of Angels. She is a nationally recognized champion for disability awareness. She has served two governors as special education advisor to the state board of education and the Michigan rehabilitation counsel.

Co-author Brian Skotko, MD, MPP is a resident physician at Children's Hospital Boston and Boston Medical Center. He is a graduate of Duke University, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Brian has authored major research on how physicians deliver a diagnosis of Down syndrome to new parents.

Photographer, Kendra Dew. Kendra's photos been featured worldwide in advertising by companies such as Hallmark, Gerber, Prudential, and the American Girl Collection. Books to her credit include; The Magic of Children, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and Common Threads.
