We have long wanted to find a way to put this book in the hands of new parents as soon as their baby in born or diagnosed. The e-book gives us that platform.

The electronic version of the 192 page coffee table book includes 95 black and white photographs of beautiful children with Down syndrome by photographer Kendra Dew along with 52 inspirational stories--told by families of children and adults with Down syndrome. Each of the nine chapters includes research on the benefits of art, friendship, community engagement and other aspects of a full and rich life.

Co-author Cynthia Hutchison (Kidder) is the mother of a child with Down syndrome and the founder Band of Angels. She is a nationally recognized champion for disability awareness. She has served two governors as special education advisor to the state board of education and the Michigan rehabilitation counsel.

Co-author Brian Skotko, MD, MPP is a Board certified medical geneticist and Director of the Down Syndrome Program at Massachusetts General Hospital Boston. He is a graduate of Duke University, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard Kennedy School, where he is currently a professor at Harvard Medical School. Brian has authored major research on how physicians deliver a diagnosis of Down syndrome to new parents.
