Band of Angels is dedicated to creating greater understanding of people with differences. Now, there is an opportunity for your child to play a role in science at the University of Michigan.
Chad Tiernan, M.S., Doctoral Candidate, is performing a study funded by the Special Olympics that examines the factors related to motor skill proficiency and physical activity in children with and without Down syndrome.
Currently, boys with Down syndrome between the ages of 6-10 years are needed for the study.
Participants of the study are required to come to the University of Michigan once for 1-2 hours, and will receive $20 in compensation for their participation. The study itself is non-invasive and pain free. In fact, most children have enjoyed participating in the study!
