Off to the Races

 

What a day it was. Charley Matus, Chris Capaldi and professional driver, Craig Capaldi of Capaldi Racing unloaded their truck with three gleaming track stars: Fiesta, Mustang and Focus- to make an event to remember for their supporters and Band of Angels. As the founder and mother of two riders, I was both excited and terrified--often simultaneously!And yes, if you look closely at the photo album on our Facebook page, you might see me in the passenger seat!

I learned that racing IS a sport. Very hard work and amazingly hot when properly suited up!Special thanks to Wolverine Bronze Company and Waterford Hills Raceway for use of the track and entire facility. Don't forget to take a zoom look at the Ford GT!! And don't forget, Capaldi has added the Band of Angels logo to their cars, ensuring that Down syndrome and cognitive challenges are recognized from Indy to Daytona!
